Darjeeling is a town situated in West Bengal India along the southern slopes of the exotic snow clad Himalayan Mountains 7,000 feet above sea level. The town and the tea plantations that stretch around it are often enveloped in a cool mist. This unique climate and the region's loamy soil, combine to produce arguably the most prized tea in the world. Darjeeling teas tend to be lighter in body & color than other black teas and are called the "Champagne of Teas" due to its natural effervescence and sweet muscatel notes. Use 1 rounded teaspoon (3 grams) per cup (8 oz) of boiling water (212 degrees). Steep for 2 - 4 minutes and then enjoy! Our 2 oz bag makes approximately 24 cups of tea. For Iced Tea, use 2 rounded teaspoons steep as normal and pour over ice.
Notes: All tea may be steeped at least twice and still retain most of its flavor. Also, for stronger flavor add more tea, not time, because teas may taste bitter if over brewed.
