Keemun teas are prized for their deep, full-bodied flavor, with just a hint of a sweet earthiness. Grown in the Anhui province of China, this region is famous for its Keemun teas - also called Burgundy tea. We consider this tea our "island tea" meaning; if we were stranded on an island and had to pick one tea to drink this would be the one. It steeps up dark, rich, luxuriant, smooth, slightly sweet and toasty with a cocoa-like note. Use 1 rounded teaspoon (3 grams) per cup (8 oz) of boiling water (212 degrees). Steep for 3 - 5 minutes and then enjoy! Our 2 oz bag makes approximately 24 cups of tea. For Iced Tea, use 2 rounded teaspoons steep as normal and pour over ice.
Notes: All tea may be steeped at least twice and still retain most of its flavor. Also, for stronger flavor add more tea, not time, because teas may taste bitter if over brewed.
